Week 8
Requirement Post #2
Three chapters in the book are narratives of my life, my growth and development, “Get out of God’s Way, Live Life to the Fullest, and to Embrace My Self-Worth,” and the only way I could do that was to accept that God has chosen me. As a Christian and student of life, I have grown by leaps and bound over the years. Unlike the butterfly, I did not triumphantly morph through the four stages of development on schedule. During my caterpillar years, I was outgoing, popular, athletic, funny, determined, courageous, and great with people. Due to fears and issues, I was still a caterpillar in the cocoon and did not know my purpose, but I made the choice to surrender to God. He morphed me into my purpose, and I emerged from the cocoon as a beautiful butterfly.
I finally acknowledge my special interpersonal skills with people and surrendered and will use my gift to do Kingdom work. I never knew God’s plan for my life until I joined the Evangel Team here at COPFM. I was apprehensive because I had to talk to strangers, pray, and reach out to people from all walks of life. Also, I was concerned because although I always had a relationship with God, I felt unqualified. So, for the past 10 months, I have elevated my relationship with Him and will continue to study, take SOCE classes, read the Word, and pray diligently to show myself approved. I am his chosen one, “Ye have chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain; but whatsoever ye shall as of the Father in my name, he may give it you,” John 15:16.
When I go on the many outings with the Evangel Team, I feel like a beautiful butterfly in flight while God leads me to the souls to save, pray for, or just interact with. “The steps of a man are ordered by the Lord who takes delight in his journey. Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, for the Lord is holding his hand. I once was young and now am old, ye never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread. Psalm 37:23-Wendy the butterfly loves to fly and lives to do God’s will and fulfill His purpose!
Hello Hope-Mate Ms Wendy, you are beautiful inside and out. You always have a sweet loving spirit and just being who you are is enough. Continue to make strides to freedom. Allow God to use the beauty in you, as I’m encouraging you I hear me talking to myself as well. I get it when you say you felt “Unqualified” like why would God use me, but why not… God uses all of us in unique ways to speak and connect with a specific audience Taylor made for our journey. You have touched my life in more ways then you know with just a sweet smile and a hello and welcoming genuine hug. Ms Wendy just be who you are the beautiful you that God created and know that is enough.
